About Me

mi1.jpg?561My name is Carol and I was born in Malvern, Worcestershire, England.
I lived in Malvern all of my live until my marriage to Terry in September 1990 when we set up our first home in Worcester. A year later (1991) our first son was born, our second son was born in 1994 and our daughter in 1996.

I'd always been interested in ghosts, ufo's etc as I grew up but no one else in my family seemed to share this interest & it was never talked about. It was only while talking to a friend over endless cups of tea that we used to share that I realised that there were other people out there that shared this interest. Over the years my interest in all things spiritual/paranormal or whatever you want to call this vast subject has increased, I don't see or hear spirit but occassionally I can feel a presence with me. I have also developed an interest in natural healing and have over the past couple of years taken a couple of different Reiki attunements.

Through this site I would like to share with you some of the things that I have come across, learnt about and found useful while on my journey so far and to also share some of my favourite words of wisdom and web links.

I'd would also like to share with you a little about my home town of Malvern as it is a very special place to me, as no matter where I travel to in this world on my return journey I always look out for the Malvern Hills and as soon as I see them on the horizon I know I'm coming home.

A little history on Malvern and the Malvern Hills.

Malvern is a small town in Worcestershire, England and nestles on the sides of the Malvern Hills. The Malvern area includes the settlements of Great Malvern, Malvern Link, Malvern Wells, West Malvern, Little Malvern and North Malvern. The name "Malvern" is derived from the Celtic term for "bare hill". Malvern is a famous spa town, known for its bottled water and the town remained small until the 1800s, when the taking of water in Malvern came into fashion. By the middle of the 19th century, there were many hotels, bath houses, and other establishments catering to the visitor and the Malvern water became famous for containing "nothing at all" (apparently it's the only bottled water that the Queen will drink).

The Malvern hills themselves are made of some of the most ancient rock in England, mostly igneous and metamorphic rocks from the late pre-Cambrian era, around 600 million years old. The Hills divide the Counties of Herefordshire and Worcestershire with the rolling hills and fields of Herefordshire to the West and the flatter plains of the Severn Valley to the East. Much of the drama and beauty of the Hills arise from the way they dramatically rise out of this landscape. Another feature of the Hills are the many springs and fountains which flow from outlets all around them.
